Michael Croft was appointed Oncore IT’s chief executive officer in 2008 and is responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of the company.  Prior to this, he was Oncore IT’s finance director and one of the founding partners who set up the business in 2003.  He is the main shareholder.

With profits trebling under his tenure as CEO, Michael has overseen the transition of Oncore IT’s business from offering primarily hardware and IT helpdesk solutions to fee-based cloud managed services for enterprise customers seeking to capitalise on the flexible and cost effective pay-to-use IT models of today.

With 13 years experience in the IT industry having held a number of finance director roles in IT outsourcing companies, Michael is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  He started his accounting career originally providing financial management and consulting services to owner-managed businesses in distress across a broad range of industry sectors.

With over 25 years experience working in the IT industry, David Ebsworth is Oncore IT’s chief technology officer responsible for setting the strategic direction of the company’s managed services business and bringing to market new technology solutions for clients. He also provides IT consultancy services to customers – acting as an external IT director – to ensure projects achieve success and deliver against commercial goals. In addition, he manages Oncore IT’s team of 30 engineers.

David was instrumental in developing Oncore IT’s remote network monitoring solution – PReSS – to better manage and support clients’ IT infrastructure while minimising the cost overhead for the company.  At the time of launch 11 years ago, PReSS was one of the first solutions in the world to enable engineers to remotely configure systems and diagnose faults globally from a central network operations centre (NOC).

David has a wealth of real-world, hands-on IT expertise having worked as a systems engineer, analyst and project manager for a range of networking organisations.

A non-executive director at Oncore IT since 2008, Paul Cook has over 20 years sales expertise and provides the company with strategic sales and marketing advice, and staff development guidance – helping the board to build an impressive team at the company.

Formerly an operational board director at Reed Managed Services, Paul has worked for a variety of IT recruitment firms including Computer Futures, MSB International, as well as running two profitable recruitment and training businesses of his own.

Paul is a registered business consultant, a fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing and a member of the Institute of Business Consulting.  He holds non-executive director positions at the National Governors Association, Frama (an office equipment company), and is a foundation governor at the Dioceses of East Anglia.  A graduate from University College London, Paul has a biology degree.
