The Financial Services Authority has minimum guidelines in regard to many areas of I.T. For Backup/Restore these are:
By using oncore OLB all of the FSA requirements are addressed as the backup process is automated and immediately transmits your encrypted files to our Tier 1 data centres for offsite storage.
The number of revisions of files to be stored can be configured at folder level and
by setting this to 9999 every file revision is kept (the average number of file revisions
is 7)
When revisions of documents are stored they are kept as deltas and have minimal
storage space.
Backup must be stored offsite
Backup must be encrypted
Every revision of file must be available
7 years of data back ups must be KEPT
